Riksvei 3/25 is one of Norway’s biggest and most critical national roads, connecting Oslo and Trondheim. When the Norwegian Public Roads Administration decided to improve this road, they brought on Mass Haul Earthworks with MAGNET Project. By using MAGNET to optimize the mass hauls and scheduling, Skanska was able to reduce the mass that needed to be moved, which in turn cut costs and lessened the environmental impact. Download the case study to learn how the MAGNET Project helped reduce planning and construction budgets on Riksvei 3/25 by 20% and allowed the 27 kilometer, four-lane highway open three months ahead of schedule.
